I would like to extend a warm welcome to the Pembrokeshire Learning Centre’s new website. Along with the “new website”, I am proud to be the “New Head Teacher and Manager of the Behaviour Support Service”, beginning my role in September 2021. I would like to share with you, the ethos and vision of all of those who contribute to; and are part of the Centre.
Here at the PLC we are dedicated to supporting all our members in order to ensure they reach their full potential. The PLC consists of a number of small schools/provisions located throughout the beautiful county of Pembrokeshire. We recognise that everyone is individual and therefore learns in their own way and at their own pace. We work with mainstream schools to provide and re-engage learners using intense interventions and flexible learning techniques.
The PLC promotes the Curriculum for Wales and embraces the use of authentic and meaningful learning experiences in order to build understanding and increase social skills. The aim is to support learners to return to mainstream education or transfer to Further Education.
We have strong, effective relationships with our learners, their families, supportive networks, communities and other agencies.
