The Teulu Learning Centre (TLC) is a long term centre for students aged 11-16 wiht complex behaviour, social and emotional challenges for whom mainstream school and other alternative interventions have not been successful. We are based in Penally.
The Centre aims to provide a stimulating, warm and supportive environment where students have the opportunity to access the Curriculum for Wales and to build positive social and life skills in a non threatening and relaxed environment, with staff who adopt a trauma informed approach. We offer a wide range of qualifications and support our students in accessing post 16 opportunities. the centre provides a highly nurturing environment and 'school family' is at the heart of everything we do. In addition to the curriculum, students have the opportunity to access weekly peripatetic drama lessons, swimming, outdoor education sessions, including archery and canoeing and farm visits where the students can take part in working with the animals and gaining accreditation.
